AGI’s 20th Annual Conference Webcast

WEBCAST EVALUATIONS & QUIZZES

Bringing this webcast to you has been a challenging endeavor, to say the least. There are so many different platforms (PC,Mac,Unix), system software and browsers (all at different versions), ISPs, access speeds, etc., that it's nearly impossible to satisfy everyone's needs all at once. Every time we change something to accommodate an unusual user, we need to be sure it doesn't negatively affect everyone else.

So far, I think we're doing pretty well at this. It's been a major learning opportunity for all of us, and like learning the computer initially, webcasting may take some getting used to.

However, once you do, we think you'll find it to be an outstanding way to continuously learn and stay informed in a manner that fits our busy lifestyle schedules.

To the best of our knowledge, this is the first time ever that an entire 4-day professional conference has been held entirely online with no "live" centralized meeting.

Currently, participants from nine countries are registered. As a result, we are receiving inquiries from media reporters who want to run stories about how doctors and other health professionals are meeting and learning totally online. (If you are willing to be interviewed, please send an email to
info@acadgi.com.)

Here's some hints that may help enrich your webcast experience:

To get access to Quizzes and Survey Evaluations, turn off your pop-up window blockers!

After you finish a complete presentation and exit the page, a pop-up window will automatically appear asking you to complete a brief survey evaluating the speaker and presentation contents. Please note that this feature will not function if you have enabled pop-up window blockers on your browser, so be sure they are not activated.

For those who have paid to receive CE credit, you must complete
both the survey and a brief post-test exam consisting of 5 true/false questions.

If you answer 3 or more of the 5 questions correctly (and the system's surveillance software indicates that you attended the entire presentation), you will automatically be sent an email with a Certificate of Completion attached as a .pdf file indicating the CE hours for that presentation and the date it was completed.

Please note that
you will not be able to access or complete the test questions until after you have reviewed the entire presentation. If you wish to see the test questions in advance of logging on to a presentation, you can review, download, and print the questions for all presentations by clicking here.

Those registered participants who have not paid for CE credit will receive a Certificate of Attendance indicating that they attended the presentation but no CE hours or sponsors are listed.

If you wish to take the quiz at some time after you have completed the presentation (but it must be before July 19, 2008), you must return to the start of the presentation and use the indexing window to navigate to the final slide. and wait until the video start to play. When you exit, the quiz and survey for that presentation will appear.
When you exit, the quiz and survey that you did not take or pass will be automatically displayed.

If you have paid for CE credits and are still having difficulty taking the quizzes or getting your CE Certificates, please contact us by
clicking here.

Internet Access: Check your junk mail and spam filters!

If you are having any difficulties receiving information from us, please be certain to check your junk mail and email filters. We may be sending information from both davidbresler@mac.com and webcasts@streamlogics.com.

Everything is being sent to you at the email address you submitted when you registered for the conference.

Repeated access to presentations has been expanded just for you!

Although your registration fee entitles you to review each presentation only once during the two month run of this event, we have arranged a modification in the event's surveillance system so that you can review as many as 3 of the 30 presentations up to three times.

Thus, if you are unable to complete a presentation in one sitting because of a computer failure or important interruption, you can access it again anytime until July 19, 2008, and use the navigation menu to go to the place you left off.

However, do not give your password to anyone else or attempt to review more than 3 of the presentations more than once or your password will be cancelled by the system. If this poses any difficulties for you, please email us your story at info@acadgi.com.

MacIntosh Users- Safari works better than Firefox

Although the webcast software was originally written for UNIX and PC platforms, it works perfectly well with MacIntosh computers, too. All the staff of the Academy are on Macs and we are finding that Safari (and even Explorer, an old browser) works better than Firefox. Be sure you are using the latest versions of Safari and operating system software.

We are here to help and if you are still having any difficulties, please send an email to

We hope you are enjoying the presentations, and if so, please tell all your friends and colleagues since they can register anytime online until July 19, 2008.

Tell us, too. We'd love to have your feedback.
